Show Your Gratitude

Don't be deceived by everything you read and see. As King David said in Psalm 101:3, "I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave unto me."  The reason I write this is because everyday I'm faced with many people that are like sheep or walking zombies that just believe what is told to them.  The irony is, they themselves will be the first ones to tell you they aren't influenced by the media.  What I find amazing is, if that is true, then why has our country morally declined rather than inclined?  

Look at what is promoted in the name of "free speech": sex, drugs, disobedience, lying, extortion, and the list goes on and on. Out of all of the radio stations, TV channels, movies, and video games, how many actually glorify godliness, goodwill, kindness, righteousness, and proper judgment?  That is what this country is established on, and it is the very character of God. As Psalm 9:16 says, "The Lord is known by the judgments which He executeth".  Why not teach gratitude towards those who gave and still give all that they have for you and me? 

It's not enough to just say words, or to good things, but it matters when you influence others to love the things which God loves and hate the things that he hates.  Ask the Lord for that heart of gratitude towards Him, and let men see your good works to put to silence the ignorance of foolish men (1 Peter 2:15).
