Time

What is the point of Christianity? What is the purpose of our Republic? What does God say about Government? As I notice more and more every day, “time” only seems to be a like a snowflake falling on a flame; here one second, and gone the next. I see that the only thing killing America and its people is procrastination and apathy. In other words, “I’ll do it tomorrow.” Can we really expect things to get better on their own without the action of each other?

Imagine a farmer hoping his field is ready for planting when he has not taken the time to first remove the rocks, hindering his plow to make the rows for planting. "What an idiot!" you would say. But look at our nation. Have you yourself taken the time to understand the history of our great nation, or its origins? We all love America and its benefits, but are you willing to fight and stand for all it stands for? If not, are you a true American? Now before you get angry, can you honestly say that you have done everything you can to reform society for the good of all men? Have you studied to "show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth"? (2 Timothy 2:15) Have you given up all that you have for the cause of Christ and Country? (2 Timothy 2:4)

If you look in Scripture, God gave us all talents for His purpose, and He expects us to use them for His purpose. He will judge us according to the use of the talents, which means if we don't use them, He will give them to someone who is faithful to use them (read Matthew 25:14-30). What has God given to you as a talent or gift that the world needs?

In a nutshell, there is a lot that is hanging in the balances in this country, and thank God our forefathers didn't think selfishly, or about their own selves but thought on their duty before God and man to bring their God given freedom back to them. Now is not the time to sit and wait for someone else to do what you know is right to do. Along the lines of something Dr. Martin Luther King said, the right time to do the right thing is right now!
