Why Do You Do What You Do?

Listen to what Samuel Adams said: "He therefore is the truest friend to the liberty of this country who tries most to promote its virtue, and who, so far as his power and influence extend, will not suffer a man to be chosen into any office of power and trust who is not a wise and virtuous man.... The sum of all is, if we would most truly enjoy this gift of Heaven, let us become a virtuous people". 

What a quote!!!!  It’s so true that people promote what they love, such as sports, music, cars, and many other things.  But in the end, what is it all for?  What will your kids think of you when all you did was to promote self worth, instead of a society as a whole?  "What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and yet loses his soul?"   

These United States of America are a gift and only to be protected by those to whom it has been given. Can you honestly say that you are doing this?  You protect your material things because of what you have invested into them such as hard work, money and your time.  But how much time have you sought the Giver of this nation of which you enjoy? Think about it as we are here celebrating the Son of God, who gave His all for you.  Change the things that you know are against the God-given conscience in you.  It’s only right.
